Protecting Your Loved Ones with a Conservatorship
We have worked with many clients who have elder family members who can no longer keep track of their finances. Often, those individuals are easy prey for unscrupulous individuals who will either try to sell them something they don't need or offer to "help" them with their finances. We have also helped clients with loved ones who have received a settlement, in a personal injury case or otherwise, but who lack the capacity to manage their financial affairs.
In these situations, we will help clients set up a conservatorship, which give family members or other approved individuals the power to control a person's finances and protect them from financial abuse.
Our Probate Administration Practice
If you have been named as executor, administrator or personal representative of the estate of a loved one, we can help you navigate the probate process and successfully settle the estate. We handle all matters required to complete the probate process, including, but not limited to:
- The preparation of an inventory of the assets of the estate
- The payments of all final debts and taxes of the estate
- The orderly distribution of the estate in accordance with the terms of the will
